Follow The Leader offers their training program in the convenience and stress-free environment of your own home. By offering one-on-one classes, you’re assured of a curriculum tailored especially for you and your dog. Training in your home offers a unique opportunity to cover such issues as beginning boundary training, door control and proper greeting of guests. Also, training dates and times can be personally tailored to your schedule. Typical training sessions last one hour.

Congratulations -- After completing the 4-day National Animal Assisted Crisis Response training workshop, Becky and Darby are 1 of only 5 teams currently in Florida to be certified as an Animal Assisted Crisis Response (AACR) team!

Jeff recently gave the presentation "“Who is the Leader of your House – How to be a humane fair pack leader" on Saturday Feb 2nd at the St Lucie County Library in Fort Pierce FL . A presentation about how to interact with your dog and improve the relationship.

Welcome our newest addition, KD's Guess I'm Special. Kali is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. Thanks to Dee Nichols of KD's Kennels for this girl.

Darby, our golden retriever, passed her AKC Tracking Dog Test on October 21st 2007 under AKC Tracking Judges Joe Hamzy and Jane Craig. Darby's track was 455 yards with 4 turns and 47 minutes old.

Becky and Darby were certified as a Therapy Dog visiting team for Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs on Sept 29 2007.

Jeff has been approved by the Mixed Breed Dog Clubs of America to judge TD and TDX test for their organization.

Styker earned his AKC Tracking Dog title on Sunday October 22nd 2006 at the Tailwaggers Learning Center under AKC Judges Joe Hamzy and Jane Craig. Out of 3 dogs, Stryker was the only one that PASSED! His track was beautiful and he tracked like he was on a mission. It was great!

Here at Follow The Leader we support participation in dog sports and other recreational activities that depend on canine partners; in law enforcement and search and rescue missions; dogs used as companions and helpers under the ADA; as Therapy Dogs; the voluntary sterilization and identification of pets, and reasonable efforts to rescue unwanted dogs for placement in new homes. We also back the responsible breeding and showing of purebred dogs and oppose coercive legislation aimed at breeders.
