	SCAREDY DOG! UNDERSTANDING AND REHABILITATING YOUR REACTIVE DOG by Ali Brown, This book helps dog owners and trainers to understand the reactive dog and help him change for the better. The process is easy to grasp, and once the changes begin to take shape, owners become so encouraged that improving their dog's behavior suddenly becomes fun and exciting! If your dog can't pay attention to you in public places, doesn't behave like a good member of the family when guests visit, and loses control when other dogs are nearby, this book has a lot to offer.
	"HOW TO BEHAVE SO YOUR DOG BEHAVES"; by Sophia Yin approach to dog training is a perfect meshing of the scientific theory and practical application. What is most important is her introduction to trainers of the significance of the person´s behavior and its effect on the dog´s learning ability. Sophia has done this better than anyone else, emphasizing in a very readable fashion the lasting effects of people´s actions on their dog´s behaviors. 	DOGS BEHAVING BADLY by Nicholas Dodman gets inside the minds of our pets to learn what makes them do the things they do. Tackles some common problems such as nipping, tail chasing, excessive barking, and garbage scavenging, as well as more difficult problems such as aggression. Draws on the latest research in canine behaviorism and pharmacology and case histories, offers easy to follow, effective techniques for curing even the most destructive behavioral problems. You'll find practical solutions to behavior problems and enjoyable reading, too. Simple, sensible instructions on diet, exercise, environment, and lifestyle changes any pet owner can safely implement to change behavior. The appendix of behavioral techniques is some what limited if you are looking for a particular solution to problem but does show how to recognizer a problem that requires professional help. This book is not an encyclopedia type book for solutions to a particular problems.
	CESAR'S WAY by Cesar Millan "The Natural, Everyday Guide to Understanding & Correcting Common Dog Problems." The author is the star of the popular weekly series, Dog Whisperer. We recognize that Cesar's methods are somewhat controversial and not everyone will agree with how he does behavior modification. Due to his popularity with the general public we felt we should be familiar with his techniques and philosophy. Millan explains how to recognize your dog's needs and respect his natural pack instincts - if you're not the leader, he'll try to be; the importance of exercise, discipline, and affection in a dog's life; how to establish rules, boundaries, and limitations; why the walk is so important and how to master it.
	SCHUTZHUND OBEDIENCE: TRAINING IN DRIVE by Gottfreid Dildei & Sheila Booth Don't be fooled by the word "Schutzhund" in the title! Both obedience and Schutzhund competitors are learning to train utilizing their dog's basic drives: food, play, prey, and fight and pack. Get enthusiastic responses to your commands for top scores! Learn when and how to motivate, how to imprint puppies, handle, and proof. This book is useful to AKC obedience competitors as well as Schutzhund people.
	TRACKING FROM THE GROUND UP Will take the participant through all phases of tracking training including many of the common difficultiesd. Prepares the tracker for T. D. and T.D.X. tests. This is one of the best books for training AKC tracking. Easy to read and follow - it works!
	TRACKING DOG - THEORY AND METHODS, 5TH EDITION Glen R. Johnson brought his many years of experience and innovation to write what has become the "bible" of trackers everywhere. His experience ranged from military dog work, to detection of toxic pipeline leaks using dogs. Tracking Dog is the standard for anyone interested in training dogs to track. Included in the book is the Tracking Trainers Handbook, a great reference for working in the field.
	"GO FIND! TRAINING YOUR DOG TO TRACK" L. Wilson Davis was one of the early pioneers. Many years of experience and innovation in the US Marines Corps Reserve Davis worked in a wide range of professional training from military dog work, Federal Government, and Baltimore City Police Force. This book is out of print but is a good read as many of his training is still used by many today and is a great reference for a tracking enthusiast.
	SCENT AND THE SCENTING DOG by William Syrotuck is a classic work upon which modern scent training is based. Gives the reader a working knowledge of the sense of smell and the physiology of the dog's nose.
	"ENTHUSIASTIC TRACKING" offers a systematic technique training method that works for almost all dogs. It is a structured and careful method, leaving very little learning to chance. Because the dog must lead the handler down the track, motivational techniques are emphasized throughout. Prepares dog and handler for their first tracking test and TDX test. Includes detailed descriptions of tracklayer and handler procedures, problem avoidance and problem solving techniques. Field maps are available (in the book or separately in "Enthusiastic Tracking: Field Maps") for each training session to help lay the correct track. Author is an AKC tracking judge.
	"MASTERING VARIABLE SURFACE TRACKING BOOK AND WORKBOOK " by Ed Presnall provides excellent information about the sport of tracking and VST in particular as well as a detailed training program to guide you step-by-step to a title. The workbook provides lesson plans and exercises using the various components. Ed Presnall is an author, technology consultant, trainer and tracking judge who spends the majority of his time teaching, training and writing about dogs.
	PRACTICAL TRACKING FOR PRACTICALLY ANYONE A simple easy to read How-to manual for trackers! I read this manual in one evening. Includes an easy to follow step-by-step guide for beginners, the AKC certification process, what to expect at a test, basic scent theory, sources of equipment. Not much on VST, but gives an idea of what it's about. A lot of discussion on Rules and Regulations that are somewhat dated. Just get the latest Rules and Regulations from the AKC and problem solved. I read this book because it is the one the folks I am lucky enough to train with in South Florida use as a guide for beginners. Happy Tracking!!

	TRAINING DOGS: A MANUAL There is no political correctness here! Today's dog trainer can trace the roots of modern training to Training Dogs by Colonel Konrad Most. Written in Germany in 1910, Training Dogs influenced how both dogs and trainers were taught in Europe and the United States for years! I found it to contain valuable and historically significant information.
	"The New Knowledge of Dog Behavior" was first published in 1963 and is a premier read on dog behavior. After WWII researchers J.P. Scott and John L. Fuller bred and cross-bred dogs in their quest to understand human heredity and behavior. Their research yielded a gold mine of data that the author, Pfaffenberger, turned into practical information for dog people. Today's dog breeder and trainer will learn how to use this information to breed and socialize temperamentally sound dogs. Also, to utilize research on the critical stages of puppy development to help puppies achieve their maximum behavioral potential and about breed differences that make certain dogs suitable for specialized work.
